So for those of you without wikipedia, Lapland is way the eff off in the middle of nowhere. Specifically, northern middle of nowhere.
Ok that's not fair. It's northern Finland. I know it's beautiful and I would love to visit there because to me the middle of nowhere is where I like to be.
I mention all this because I just went to Lapland in Second Life and it is beautiful and well worth your time, especially if you want to take some great wintery pictures. Rebel Yell's winter event is a reproduction of a town in Lapland that is reported to be Santa's official hometown, Rovaniemi, Finland.
I just know it's beautiful, and if you're looking for a place to skate, this has a huge area. check it out here;
