I really really enjoyed Cica's wonderful underwater space world Planet, and I'm even more instantly in love with her newest exhibit, Stars. Before I forget again- here's the slurl- Go here.
Oh my goodness- take Cica's trademark creatures with all their lovable expressions and add steampunk elements and you have Stars. It is magnificent.
Robotic creatures need love too and these creatures are lovable- from the musician robots to the little puppets and even the snail- because of the familiar feel of her creations we can tell that this is a work by Cica Ghost but it feels new and fresh and exciting still- thanks in large part to her use of a beautiful sepia-rust palette and her ability to execute even the intricate gears and mechanics of steampunk with her trademark flair and whimsy.
In short, go see and LISTEN- great music too- to Stars. Cica Ghost is amazing and this is one of her best.
