Bellisseria Survival Guide Vol I- The Parties

Ok let's get this out of the way first- I am the last person that should write a survival guide to Bellisseria.

If there is a social gaffe within five regions of me I will find it and I've grown accustomed to the taste of foot in my mouth.

But! As such, I am a veritable warehouse of cautionary tales and...a lot of oldbies are coming into Belli and this will be a nice article to point them to.

So let's press on.

Dear Friend,

First- social stuff. Yes, there's a social life in Belli. Most of it starts at the Fairgrounds.

Question the First: What the eff is the Fairgrounds?

It's a common space. Parties are held there and the Boat Parade usually starts and ends there. It's in the heart of "old Bellisseria" and here's a SLurl.

People and groups can sign it out to hold events for the Bellisseria Community and fortunately for us some very talented people like to throw parties because there have been some epic things built there for Bellisserians to party on.

To find out about when parties are held, check the Bellisseria Entertainers and Events calendar, which you can find here.

Next week is Hammieween, which will be a week of awesome parties at the Fairgounds so our party cup runneth over, but even in a normal week there's plenty of social activity;

all times SLT

Mondays- Bellis Blues Café 10am (on hiatus until Nov 15) (Slurl)

Thursdays- Riverbridge Café  noon (Flickr Group)  (Slurl)

Fridays- Far's Party noon (location varies, here's his group)

Far's Party is ENORMOUS, here's a pic of one from Surfer's Beach.

And the first Sunday of every month at 5:30pm DJ Gabi does her show Songs from the Nightengale. (Slurl)

In addition to that stuff there is a Boat Parade every day at 4pm (balloon parade on Sunday) that I love.

There is a Party House and Gym that just opened, a game group just started and was hoping for new members, and a wonderful adventure group that has fun hikes and outings (and also a kickass website here). These are just a few off the top of my head, there are hangouts and monsters and lot of good fun of all kinds to be had. There is probably a group in Belli for you, just search groups for Bellisseria.

In short there is probably something fun to do, and many times with lots of other SL enthusiasts.

I say it all the time, in many ways Belli is what I hoped SL would be when I started all those years ago- a fun, creative digital neighborhood with a great sense of community.

I have made some truly wonderful friends here and you will too, welcome!

Also, Naswert- it means whatever you want it to mean.
