Update!
What an awesome party! The United Artists of SL Gallery looked amazing and Bsukmet Stormcrow made beautiful music for us.
Here's a pic I grabbed- Bsuk has several shows coming up including more at the UASL Gallery so to check out of of these perfomances and keep up in person join the Bsukmet Music group here!
This Art world has been one of the most delightful rabbit holes I've ever followed!
I got a chance to catch up with my friend Bijoux Barr the other day and it was especially great because I always run into her at the coolest events and now it turns out she is making one of her own!
ZOMG this will be awesome.
I've been meaning to blog about Bsukmet Stormcrow's music for ages because it is incredibly good, and Bsuk's wonderful personality and incredible collection of avatars shine through in every performance. Seriously, go to a show- this is "Zook's" webpage, have a listen you will love it.
Now imagine that music while immersed in a gorgeous environment and you have this party that's coming up Friday.
Ok- so this show and party are at The United Artists of SL gallery which is absolutely gorgeous and more about that in a sec. Here's a SLURL to the party on Friday and also to the gallery itself, which will feature this exhibit by Samaniego Art until January I think. Go see it, you will love this PLUS you get an awesome lil watercolor gift by Bijoux :)
Now this show is fascinating because it is real life art painted by Bijoux's mother and grandmother and beautifully photographed and uploaded to Second Life by Bijoux Barr, who is a gifted artist herself. The UASL Gallery is really airy and spacious and the paintings looks magnificent on the walls there. It's a great show in a beautiful space and I can't wait to party there this Friday.
But wait, there's more!
The Samaniego Gallery is exhibiting at the UASL but there is still a Samaniego Gallery to visit and you really need to. The Campbell Coast was a well-known oasis for artists and Bijoux has helped resurrect that vibe with Port Emyniad, which is picturesque and home to some wonderful Art. (SLURL to Port Emyniad)
I landed and saw that her neighbor is Michiel Bechir, whose Flickr I love and who happens to be hosting an art walk at Port Emyniad next week featuring artists such as Loony Carabosse, Moki Yutza, Eylinea Seabird, Samanthe Mirror, Zia Sophia and one of my favorite people Siobhan Muntir.
Walking around in Port Emyniad, it's just lovely- there are the galleries of Samaniego and Michiel Bechir and then several other artists including Traci Ultsch, whose Art is gorgeous and "pay as you feel" which is a vibe I love.
Port Emyniad has wonderful landscaping and is a terrifically relaxing place to celebrate creativity. Enjoy it!
