After a long and hard-fought struggle, the 19th Amendment to the US Constitution was ratified in August of 1920, giving US women the right to vote. By then many places had allowed women to vote, but the 19th Amendment put the national stamp of approval on it.
I wanted to do a pic to commemorate it but voting booths seem to be pretty scarce in Second Life, so I got friend Jenna and made her dress up in some of her vintage duds. We had fun but don't think for a minute that messing about in SL amounts to a hill of beans compared to what people have gone through to vote.
So here are a couple of pics of Jenna as a flapper and a heartfelt hope that if you have the right to vote in the US you have exercised it in this election.
