I was talking with some people about my recent obsession with pilots and they suggested I take up flying! Duh! It never occurred to me to get a plane in SL, but why not?
The best planes in SL, I've heard, are made by Dani Airplanes (in-world store- which is amazing). So I went and drooled all over the many gorgeous planes in the showroom. One of my besties has a lil experimental plane I have my eye on, but as I'm all about blogging SL on a budget, the freebie H1 Racer is amazing.
If you are a premium member there is a big open area you can fly around over and that is great for learning to control the plane and the map all at the same time. There are lots of open waters for sailing in SL and they are also good for flying, such as the Blake Sea.
And of course, Bellisseria is good for all sorts of fun!
That said, flying itself isn't very hard if your computer is up to it. Having the map open and refreshing is a must, which can be a lot of computer resources so keep that in mind when looking at planes!
